The BOOYSEN family's DRILLING & TRANSPORT history and expertise dates back to the 60's.

Although BOOYSEN TRANSPORT & DRILLING services came to fruision in 1980 Wikus Booysen, the owner, started farming in the Gobabis district in the 1960's. The Booysen family is a third generation family business that originated from farming.

While farming Wikus Booysen already realised the desperate need of providing a drilling service to Namibian farmers, always having to migrate livestock in times of drought OR finding more water (boreholes) on their farms. As a full time farmer he started providing a drilling services to bore waterholes for farmers across Namibia (South-west Africa), camping with his family in a caravan onsite. His wife, Annie Booysen, remembers fondly the days of caravan camping raising three kids under the African sky.

Wikus Booysen quickly built his dynasty of Scania lorries and drilling equipment through the years. Having lived and farmed in Namibia his entire life Wikus and the rest of the Booysen family have a solid understanding of and respect for the charming, harsh, yet wild African environment. Local knowledge and years of experience in Southern Africa has given the BOOYSEN's the expertise to provide TRANSPORT & DRILLING services you can trust!
